Dry Eyes
Effect of working angle and distance
How we look at screens can cause dry eyes and strain. Looking at computer screens on a desk makes our eyes wider, which might dry them out. Using phones held low can do the same. Holding screens too close can tire our eye muscles, causing strain. This might lead to symptoms like Dryness and Discomfort in our eyes.
Using a digital device in very bright light can be tough on the eyes. The strong light from the screen and the bright surroundings can compete and strain the eyes, especially if it happens a lot. If there’s not enough light when looking at a screen, that’s tough on the eyes too. When it’s dark, our eyes open up more to get more light, and this can make them tired, if it happens too long. Also, glare from screens can be a problem. In a study, people in a place without strong glare had fewer tired eye problems than those in a place with lots of glare.
